Port of Saints Media

Port Of Saints Media is a multi-media platform for musicians, writers, designers and producers. It aims to bring together a multi-view society of creative and dedicated communicators. We hope everything Port Of Saints Media releases shows our dedication to our principles: mutually supportive, hyper contextual, simple and complex at the same time. What we say, we mean, however we say it. Defiance and resistance Through creative shared experience. Technology allows us to create in different ways and to engage in the world in different ways. But the technology is the outer casing, the shell through which creative thought can now move. The printing press allowed, eventually, the dissemination of ideas and images. A different narrative structure through which the world could move; morphing, collapsing, expanding. Printing established the written word as currency, a currency that could be and was used by a greater proportion of the worlds population to reinvent systems of power. The technology we have now presents a new structure, a new mechanism of language that has reshaped the world again. It allows a faster, greater assimilation of images and ideas. It allows communication to exist in an ever present now. Something books, television, cinema could not do. The web of splintered words is suddenly apparent right before our eyes. Engaging technology in the storytelling of the world. Suddenly there is a larger world to speak of. Access to communication devices invents a new topography. This new topography is far more egalitarian. It allows voices to enter the discourse that were previously invisible or muted. Port Of Saints Media hopes to encourage a multiplicity of ideas expressed through various means. We would look to open creative spaces within the technological landscape where different ideas and perspectives can mingle and cross-pollinate, where something is not excluded because it seems out of place or redundant. We hope to encourage contributions from communcators in ways that they may not have considered before, or perhaps have considered but lacked the specific knowledge or connections. Who can say what is possible until a chance meeting sends ricocheting sparks into the ether. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.
